Two girls got arrested, after running away from home

In a statement to (Warvin), a source from Women union of Kurdistan – Kirkuk branch said, we got informed that two young women have ran away from home at two different times (She did not want to mention their names), one of them ran away 5 months ago with a guy, General Asayish in Slemani captured them.

She also said: “On (March 8, 2013) another girl ran away from home and took 8 million Iraqi dinars with her, she got arrested by Asayish as well. Now both girls are under supervision away from their families”.

She said that the guys are under arrest in Asayish, we have demanded Asayish to investigate in the case, and take medical examinations for the girls, the guys should not be released until they get engaged to the girls at court.

The source from the Kirkuk branch of Kurdistan women union also said they are in continuous negotiations with the families of the girls to solve the problem.
