VIDEO: American volunteer survives fighting ISIS with the Kurd's in Syria to tell his story 

“Life is forever put in perspective the first time someone tries to kill you.”Those
are the words of Freeman Stevenson, a 23-year-old Utah County man who
just returned home from Syria after 10 months of fighting with the Kurds
in a militant group called the YPG.He connected on Facebook with a group fighting ISIS in Syria.

It’s the 21st century, he said, you can join any group you’d like online.
