Marwan Zangana, captain of other Minsitry of Peshmerga brigades, gives his version of what has happened at the new front line built on the road between Kirkuk and Erbil.
Erbil is the capital of the Kurdish federal government and this new front is just over five miles from Erbil.
Captain Zangana indicates that Iraqi forces attacked them this morning a bit south on this road, and that Kurdish Peshmerga responded, inter alia, by breaking two armored vehicles with armored ammunition.
According to Captain Zangana, there are wounded and possibly killed among the Iraqi soldiers, because they put in the vehicles being spilled.
On the question of who advanced first, Captain Zangana answers that it was the Iraqi forces that attacked.
He says there is no threat to Erbil in this situation.
Kurdish Peshmergas soldiers posted here, along with volunteer Kurds who have also gathered here and waiting for what is going to happen, constitute a reinforcement that can be sent to Kirkuk and they are also a guardian that is heading for Erbil.
