Some military sources estimate the number of elements of armed gangs and mercenaries in the south about 30,000-40,000 armed forces, controlling areas in Daraa, Hawed al-Yarmok, Damascus, al-Sweida and al-Quneitra.
Their affiliations vary including the mercenaries who receive support from Turkey and other regional countries, and those who describe themselves to be moderate, reaching Jabhat al-Nasra and mercenaries of IS that are among the most prominent armed gangs and mercenaries present in the south of Syria:

Jabhet al-Nusra tried by changing its name several times to remove the quality of terrorism of itself and the last was to convert its name to Hayet Tahrir al-Sham in January 2017, but remained in the international terrorism list as it continues violating the civilians.

Where to get support?
The southern area of Syria is characterized by including a large number of armed gangs and their supporters. Turkey supports mercenary gangs such as IS, Jabhet al-Nusra and other gangs in the Syrian north with branches in the south.
Jordan, which has borders with Syria, supports the existing gangs that are managed by the United States, France and Britain, while Israel, which is busy of the ongoing aerial and missile bombardment against the Iranian sites, also supports the armed gangs from time to time in order to get the ground front south of Damascus busy.
Al-Mok Room is considered the real father of the southern armed gangs and the main factor of increasing such gangs as it works under the terms of al-Mok that supports it. Al-Mok was formed in 2013 by some Gulf countries, America, France and Britain.
The gangs meet in one central room
In south of Syria, a military system different from other areas has been developed. The formation of military rooms was among several military gangs has been the main address recently. With the rapid progress of the regime in the area, especially in the countryside of al-Sweida, the northern countryside of Daraa and Mothalath al-Mout heading towards the border crossing of Nasib to cut the remained countrysides of Daraa, al-Quneitra and al-Sweida. The armed gangs and the mercenaries in that area announced the formation of the "Central Chamber" in June 2018.
The room consists of seven sub-rooms formed at different times during the past three years for specific purposes and the rooms are:
Al-Bonian al-Marsous operations room
It is spread in the neighborhoods of Daraa city, and was the main engine of the battle of al-Mout wala al-Mazala (Death Not Humaliation) that it led last year and took control of parts of al-Munshiya neighborhood in Daraa al-Balad.

This room brings together al-Quneitra gangs whose fronts are considered to be a natural geographical extension along the northern and western fronts of Daraa countryside.
