PICTURES: Iranian Kurdistan Goes on Strike to Protest Economic Crisis.

The majority of Kurdish cities in the Iranian Kurdistan joined a public strike on Monday to protest the harsh economic crisis as the result of Tehran government’s policies.
Civic activists had previously called on the people to close down the markets in a bid to warn the government about the increasing inflation that has gravely affected people’s daily life.
According to photographs and amateur footages circulating on the social media, the strikes are ongoing in Kermanshah, Saqiz, Marivan, Piranshahr, Sanandaj, Miandoab, and Baneh.
Elsewhere in Eastern Azerbaijan and Markazi provinces similar strikes are taking place.
Iran is suffering from a harsh economic crisis since the US has withdrawn from the 2015’s Nuclear Deal and has ordered the reimposition of multiple sanctions against Tehran.
Iran’s Rial has significantly lost its value. The rate of unemployment is on the rise and the flow of people migrating from the country to find a better future elsewhere is constantly increasing.
