Regime: corona reporting outside government channels is illegal.

The Iranian regime has ordered the Revolutionary Guard to send guardians to all hospitals and health centers in the country in a desperate attempt to control reporting on the corona pandemic and death toll. It reveals the Iranian National Resistance Council (NCRI) at a press conference on Thursday.





The Iranian opposition coalition said that the number of deaths in the corona virus in Iran until Wednesday, March 25, exceeds 11,500 with deaths in at least 222 cities across the country. It also presented death figures for several provinces and cities, including Tehran, Esfehan and Gilan (see image below from NCRI).

This is about five times more than the regime's official death toll in line with what a World Health Organization official said on March 17.

"Disseminating statistics and information related to the corona eruption outside the government's channels is a criminal offense with serious consequences," the regime's state prosecutor Mohammad Jafar Montazeri recently warned.

Several have already been arrested according to NCRI's information.

NCRI's information is based on the Iranian opposition, the sources of the People's Mojahedin in Iran, information from hospitals, health centers, doctors and burial sites in several Iranian provinces and cities, as well as from the regime's own internal reports.

NCRI also revealed over 100 regime officials, including several of the top leadership's representatives and commanders from the Revolutionary Guard, have died after being infected by the corona virus.

"We have clear evidence that the regime already knew at the end of January that the virus had spread to Iran and that many had died after becoming infected but kept it secret," said NCRI's Foreign Affairs Committee Chairman Mohammad Mohaddessin at the press conference .

"What we see today is a desperate attempt by the regime to darken the truth about the Corona crisis that is affecting the Iranian people mercilessly. Swedish media and evening newspapers, especially TT, have unfortunately chosen to swallow the regime's disinformation and report it as the truth instead of challenging the regime's lies, "said Massud Kiani, FFFI's EU representative on the real death toll in Iran as a result of the corona virus presented by NCRI .
