A 36-year-old Syrian man was sentenced to life in prison in Germany for killing his wife, a Syrian refugee, on a journey from Aarhus to Berlin. The man pulled into the emergency lane south of Flensburg and stabbed his wife, who was 32 years old, with a knife.

BT reports that the man was sentenced to life in prison by the regional court in Flensburg for attempted murder and aggravated assault.

Berlingske describes that the man stabbed his wife more than 40 times, and she later died in hospital.
