Following the wave of repression against #Baha’is in #Iran, #Nazanin_Abedini, a Baha’i citizen living in Qaemshahr, was arrested on Wednesday morning, July 25, 2025, in a violent raid by the security forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran and taken to an unknown location.

The security forces entered the house without a warrant, breaking through the wall and breaking the front door.

After a thorough search of the house, the officers also confiscated Ms. Abedini’s personal and electronic belongings and took her away.

The officers’ treatment, which was accompanied by a clear violation of privacy and absolute disregard for the legal rights of citizens, is not only illegal but also an example of methods of intimidation and terrorizing Baha’i families.

Nazanin Abedini is a Baha’i citizen living in Qaemshahr and a children’s music teacher.

So far, there is no information about the whereabouts of this citizen, and concerns have increased about her physical and legal condition
