Javad Tabatabaei's daughter turns out to be a Mossad spy

According to documents that the mullahs' regime claims to have obtained from inside Israel, there are signs of espionage by the children of high-ranking Iranian officials

Following the Islamic Republic's claim to have obtained intelligence documents on Israel's nuclear activities, Iranian state media have published some of these documents in which the name of Arian Tabatabaei, the #daughter of #Seyyed _javad_Tabatabaei, is mentioned as a #Mossad spy.

Today, Iranian state-affiliated media published documents that they say are part of a "treasure trove" obtained from Israeli sources. The documents specifically mention the name of Arian Tabatabaei, the daughter of Seyyed Javad Tabatabaei (the intellectual father of the fascist Iranshahri movement), as a person associated with the Israeli intelligence agency (Mossad), and pictures of her have been published alongside analyses of her role in advancing Israel's security goals.

Although this revelation has not yet been confirmed by independent institutions, if true, it would indicate a high level of influence and cooperation between some intellectual figures of the so-called Iranshahri movement and foreign intelligence agencies; a movement that has had extensive influence in the structures of the Islamic Republic in recent years by promoting “Persian nationalism.”

Now, with the name of the daughter of one of the founders of this movement being raised in a case with such a level of security sensitivity, questions about the true nature of this intellectual project and its connection to foreign espionage agencies have intensified. Arian Tabatabaei, a researcher and analyst on security issues, has previously worked in institutions close to the US government and Western strategic centers, and has participated in projects that analyze Iranian and regional defense policies.

Critics have warned for years that the Iranshahri project is not only not an indigenous intellectual movement, but also dangerously works towards destroying democracy, weakening popular movements, and normalizing cooperation with domineering structures. Now, with the revelation of the connection of one of the figures close to this movement to the Mossad, the depth of the dangers that this thinking entails has become more apparent than ever.

Now the question is: to what extent have these intellectual projects and their theorizing been a cover for influence, deviation, and even betrayal?

In recent years, the Iranshahri movement has played an effective role in the systematic suppression of ethnic civil activists living in Iran, especially Azerbaijani activists, by abusing its influence in government institutions, especially in ministries such as the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance, as well as security and intelligence agencies. This movement has prepared the ground for the arrest, torture, and imprisonment of hundreds of Azerbaijani activists by creating unrealistic cases and making false accusations. In the cultural sphere, it has also created structural obstacles, effectively bringing the printing and publishing of books and newspapers in the Turkish language to a standstill. By distorting historical facts and promoting extreme centralist nationalism, they have become a tool for the cultural and political suppression of ethnic groups in the Islamic Republic.
