A video of former #Iranian_President_Mahmoud_Ahmadinejad, first posted on August 13 by the Telegram channel “Dawlat Bahar,” has recently been reposted on social media. In the video, #Ahmadinejad revealed a threat from a senior security official and warned about two issues: the serious threat posed by the Taliban to Iran and the region, and the activities of a corrupt security gang within the Islamic Republic’s intelligence agencies.

Ahmadinejad addressed the issue of the “corrupt security gang”: “This gang uses false information to divert decision-making paths, turns peaceful protests into violence, increases the cost of protests, stages and creates conflicts so that the voice of the people’s rights is not heard. They are even in contact with movements abroad, and as soon as a protest is formed, they attribute it to foreigners in order to pave the way for repression.”

Recalling the events of November 2019, he said: "Whenever people wanted to speak out, this corrupt movement entered the field and diverted the path with violence and shooting."
