Following Kajal Salehi, a 14-year-old girl from Bojnord, North Khorasan Province, reciting a poem in Kurdish (Kurmanji) describing Kurdistan at several cultural events, Intelligence Forces raided her parents' home, but failed to arrest her. These forces have arrested Araz Salehi, Kajal's father.

According to a report received by the Hengaw Human Rights Organization, on Tuesday, July 15, 2025, Araz Salehi, the father of Kajal Salehi, a 14-year-old girl from the village of Naveh, Bojnord, was arrested by Intelligence Forces in his home and taken to an unknown location. Intelligence forces stormed the family's home to arrest Kajal Salehi, but failed to arrest him and arrested his father.

According to informed sources, while searching the family's home, Intelligence forces confiscated all mobile phones and electronic equipment belonging to the family members and informed them that all family members should report to the Intelligence Department the next day for interrogation.

Kajal Salehi, a 14-year-old Kurdish student, had recited epic speeches describing Kurdistan at several cultural events, which had a wide impact among the attendees and on social networks.
