Syrian President al-Julani: "A security agreement between Damascus and Tel Aviv is being discussed, if it happens, on the basis of the 1974 line - the Hudna line." 

There are still gaps between Israel and the Syrian regime on several issues. First, the question of the 1974 separation of forces agreement. The Syrian side is demanding a renewal of the agreement, which would mean a full withdrawal of IDF forces to the lines they were on the eve of the collapse of the Assad regime in December 2024. On the other hand, it has been reported that the Israeli side is demanding the maintenance of certain control points in the Mount Hermon region.
