The brutal murder of women continues in Iraq. A young woman was brutally set on fire and murdered by her mentally ill husband in the city of Tikrit.

Husband sets wife on fire, flees to Erbil

The burned woman is named Reem Saeed, a woman from Salah al-Din who has four children. The first, a 9-year-old, is employed as a laborer, while the second is tied to the sun. There is no news of the remaining two.

Reem discovered her husband was having an affair with a married woman. She contacted the husband of the woman her husband loves, and they had a relationship. Her husband's mother exposed her.

Her husband, Majeed Sami Mahmoud, set her on fire with his brother. The husband fled to Erbil three months ago.

The married woman's father and older brother filed a lawsuit against him, but have so far received no response.
