Call from Yazd Prison with the voice of #Zeinab_Jalalian
#Zeinab_Jalalian was born in 1982 in the village of "Diem Qeshlaq Maku" in West Azerbaijan Province. In March 2007, she was on her way to Kermanshah on an intercity bus from Kamyaran when she was arrested by security agents at the entrance to the city (Qazanchi).
After her arrest, Zeinab Jalalian was transferred to the Kermanshah Intelligence Detention Center in the city's oil field and spent several months in solitary confinement. This political prisoner told one of her fellow prisoners about the tortures inflicted during interrogation: "When they whipped the soles of my feet, they transferred me to a cell unconscious, where they forced me to walk the length of the corridor with my injured feet, and then beat me again." In December 2000, Judge Moradi, the then head of Branch 1 of the Kermanshah Revolutionary Court, sentenced Zeinab Jalalian to death by hanging with a rope in the Kermanshah Correctional Center without the presence of a lawyer. Some time later, the Fourth Branch of the Kermanshah Court of Appeals upheld Zeinab Jalalian's death sentence. Finally, in October 2011, Zeinab Jalalian was included in the Leader's pardon and her death sentence was commuted to life imprisonment. One of Zeinab Jalalian's lawyers, emphasizing that the request for pardon was not made by Zeinab Jalalian or her lawyers, but at the direct proposal of the Kermanshah Provincial Amnesty and Pardon Commission, announced that the reason for the Kermanshah Provincial Amnesty and Pardon Commission's proposal was that the provincial intelligence department withdrew its initial report on Zeinab Jalalian stating that she was armed and used a weapon, saying that we made a mistake. Zeinab Jalalian is currently on the verge of her 18th year in prison, deprived of the right to medical attention and in exile in Yazd prison. Her physical condition is reported to be serious.
