Of course, the Iranian regime itself has several spy satellites. Now Russia is helping Iran because of the West’s support for Ukraine, and I think it’s a war for power in the world. If you remember, the United States itself did not allow democracy to be established in Iran and brought in a sick shoe with the coup of Reza. Well, neither the United States nor Russia are friends of the Iranian people. They all seek their own interests.
Russia has expanded its intelligence and military cooperation with Iran, providing Iran with satellite imagery and improved drone technology to help target US forces in the region. This cooperation is aimed at maintaining Iran as a close partner in the Middle East and continuing a war that has military and economic benefits for Russia.
This assistance includes components for modified Shahed drones to improve communication, navigation, and targeting. Russia has also provided tactical guidance on the number of drones and attack altitudes based on its experience in Ukraine. Russia has also provided information on the location of US forces and their regional allies, and recently provided satellite imagery directly to Iran.
Analysts say the level of cooperation is similar to the intelligence the US and Europe have provided to Ukraine. The aid is said to have been instrumental in attacks on US radar systems in the region, including the THAAD early warning radar in Jordan and targets in Bahrain, Kuwait and Oman. Satellite imagery provides detailed information about the movements of ground and naval targets and is used for targeting and damage assessment. In this war, Iran has been more successful than before, and its tactics—using drones to jam radar and then launching missile strikes—are very similar to those used by Russia in Ukraine. Russia has denied the cooperation, and the US has said the aid has not affected the success of its military operations.
