 Iran reported that in last night’s clash between US and Iranian forces during a US pilot rescue operation:

More than six advanced US drones were destroyed.
Five members of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard were killed.
Eight others were injured.

The names of those killed are:
Kamal Alizadeh, Mostafa Habibi, Ali Kiani, Sajjad Amiri, and Abolfazl Peyman.

The following eight people were injured:

While there is no official statement from the U.S. on what exactly happened, the New York Times reports:

Two U.S. transport aircraft (C‑130 type) were destroyed during the rescue operation after they became disabled at a remote forward base and were deliberately destroyed by U.S. forces so they could not be captured by Iranian forces.
