Abbas Araghchi, the Foreign Minister of the Islamic Republic of Iran, responded to France’s condemnation of the executions of protesters in Iran by publishing a message in Exx, writing: “Countries like France should stop preaching to the world about human rights and international law. This is blatant and shameful hypocrisy.”
Araghchi went on to write that France’s support for Israel’s actions in Gaza and “aggression against Iran” has destroyed what the country considered its “moral superiority.”
Araghchi’s comments came after French Foreign Minister Jean-Noël Barrow wrote in Exx that seven months after “massive crimes against the Iranian people who stood up for justice and dignity,” the Iranian government continues to “bleed” by increasing executions. He added: “This intolerable and inhumane repression must end, its perpetrators must be held accountable, and political prisoners must be released.” Barrow also stressed that the Iranian people must be able to freely decide on their future and that their fundamental rights must be respected.
At the same time, 32 countries, including 29 European countries, along with Canada, Australia, and New Zealand, issued a joint statement condemning the Islamic Republic’s continued executions of protesters and its use of the death penalty. The statement said that the use of the death penalty to “silence dissent, intimidate communities, and punish individuals exercising their fundamental rights” cannot be justified under any circumstances.

لێدوانەکانی ئاراغچی دوای ئەوە هات کە ژان نۆئێل بارو وەزیری دەرەوەی فەرەنسا لە ڕۆژنامەی ئێکسدا نووسیبووی کە حەوت مانگ دوای “تاوانە بەرفراوانەکان دژی گەلی ئێران کە لە پێناو دادپەروەری و کەرامەتدا وەستانەوە”، حکومەتی ئێران بەردەوامە لە “خوێنڕشتن” بە زیادبوونی ئێعدامەکان. ناوبراو زیادی کرد: ئەم سەرکوتکردنە بەرگە نەگیراو و نامرۆڤانەیە دەبێ کۆتایی پێبێت و تاوانبارانی لێپرسینەوەیان لەگەڵدا بکرێت و زیندانیانی سیاسی ئازاد بکرێن. بارۆ هەروەها جەختی لەوە کردەوە کە گەلی ئێران دەبێ بتوانێت ئازادانە بڕیار لەسەر ئایندەی خۆی بدات و مافە بنەڕەتییەکانیش دەبێ ڕێز لە مافە بنەڕەتییەکانی بگیرێت.
لە هەمان کاتدا ٣٢ وڵات لە نێویاندا ٢٩ وڵاتی ئەوروپی لەگەڵ کەنەدا، ئوسترالیا و نیوزلەندا، بەیاننامەیەکی هاوبەشیان بڵاوکردەوە و درێژەی لەسێدارەدانی خۆپیشاندەرانی کۆماری ئیسلامی و بەکارهێنانی سزای لەسێدارەدانیان شەرمەزار کرد. لە بەیاننامەکەدا هاتووە کە بەکارهێنانی سزای لەسێدارەدان بۆ "بێدەنگکردنی ناڕەزایەتییەکان و ترساندنی کۆمەڵگاکان و سزادانی تاکەکان کە مافە بنەڕەتییەکانیان بەکاردەهێنن" لە هیچ بارودۆخێکدا ناتوانرێت پاساو بێت.
