Cemil Bayık, a military commander of the Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK), stated that they would strive for peace to the best of their ability; however, should peace fail to materialize, they must prepare themselves for a long and major war.
Of course, war is not the solution—peace is the best course of action. We are making every effort, but it also depends on the other side taking steps in this direction so that we can advance the cause of peace.
جەمیل بایک، فەرماندەیەکی سەربازیی پارتی کرێکارانی کوردستان ڕایگەیاند، هەموو هەوڵێک بۆ ئاشتی دەدەین، ئەگەریش بە ئاشتی سەرنەکەوین، دەبێت خۆمان بۆ شەڕێکی دوورودرێژ و گەورە ئامادە بکەین.
بێگومان شەڕ چارەسەر نییە، ئاشتی باشترین چارەسەرە. ئێمە هەموو هەوڵێک دەدەین، بەڵام ئەوە کاری لایەنی بەرامبەرە کە هەنگاو بنێت لەسەر ئەم ڕێگایە و پێشخستنی ئاشتی.
Cemîl Bayek, fermandarekî leşkerî yê Partiya Karkerên Kurdistanê, ragihand ku em ê ji bo aştiyê çi ji destê me tê bikin, û heke em di aştiyê de bi ser nekevin, divê em xwe ji bo şerekî dirêj û mezin amade bikin.
Bê guman, şer ne çareserî ye, aştî çareseriya herî baş e. Em hewl didin ku çi ji destê me tê bikin, lê ew bi aliyê din ve girêdayî ye ku di vê rêyê de gavan bavêje û aştiyê pêş bixe.
