‏"Why would Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, the so-called "Supreme Leader" of the war-torn country of Iran, so openly and foolishly claim that he won the war with Israel, when he knows what he said is a lie, that's not how it is. As a man of great faith, he's not going to lie. His country was destroyed, his three evil nuclear sites were destroyed, and I knew exactly where he was hiding, and I wasn't going to let Israel or the United States Armed Forces, which are by far the largest and most powerful in the world, end his life. I saved him from a very ugly and humiliating death, and he doesn't have to say, "Thank you, President Trump!" In fact, in the final act of the war, I asked Israel to turn back a very large group of planes headed straight for Tehran, looking for a big day, perhaps a final knockout! There would be huge damage and many Iranians would be killed. This attack was to be the biggest attack of the war, to date.

Over the past few days, I had been working on the possibility of lifting sanctions and other things that would have given Iran a much better chance of a full, quick and complete recovery - sanctions sting! But no, instead I was met with a statement of anger, hatred and disgust and immediately abandoned all work on lifting sanctions and other things. Iran must return to the flow of the world order, otherwise things will get worse for them. They are always very angry, hostile and dissatisfied and look what they have got - a burnt and ruined country, with no future, a destroyed army, a terrible economy and deaths all around them. They have no hope and things will only get worse! I wish the Iranian leadership would realize that you often get more with honey than vinegar. Peace!!!”
