Instead of investing in the people of Iran, the Islamic Republic regime invested in Lebanon, Palestine, Yemen, and Iraq, and in the end, all of this investment went to waste.

Instead of investing in the people of #Iran, the #Islamic_Republic #regime invested in #Lebanon, #Palestine, #Yemen, and #Iraq, and in the end, all of this investment went to waste. Torture and execution have given the #Iranian people the gift of repression. This has probably left the #mullahs in a state of confusion, and they will collapse at any moment.

This is a strategic mistake of the Islamic Republic that is irreparable. The second mistake of the Islamic Republic is that it thinks that by executing and creating an atmosphere of fear and terror through force, it will subdue the people so that no one will breathe. Well, this is also a big mistake. When you make enemies for yourself, people will no longer help you because you have killed these people's loved ones for a slogan. So this regime is like a wolf. The repentance of a wolf is also death.

Wave of arrests and executions in Kurdistan after the Iran-Israel war: Unprecedented security repression

Prepared and organized by Behnam Ebrahimzadeh - former political prisoner, labor and children's rights activist

Following the end of the 12-day war between the Islamic Republic of Iran and Israel in July 1404, the Iranian government quickly entered a phase of widespread repression within the country. The new wave of repression has mostly affected minority and border regions such as Kurdistan and Baluchistan.

Human rights and field reports show that over the past two weeks, hundreds of Kurdish and Baluch citizens, especially civil, cultural, media activists and Kolbars, have been arrested or summoned. At the same time, a wave of extrajudicial executions has also been carried out without due process and fair trials.

Security situation in Kurdistan

Kurdish cities including Sanandaj, Marivan, Baneh, Saqqez and Bukan Mahabad are effectively in a state of martial law. The widespread presence of IRGC and Basij forces, the establishment of checkpoints and frequent inspections of homes and mobile phones have become common in these areas.

According to the Kurdistan Human Rights Network (KHRN), many arrests are made on charges such as “spying for Israel,” “connections with Kurdish opposition parties,” and “corruption on earth,” without any legal evidence or a public trial. In some cases, the individual’s media or cultural activities alone have been grounds for arrest and pressure.

Statistics of arrests in Kurdistan

Before the Iran-Israel war: 52 arrests in the past month

After the end of the conflict: More than 200 arrests in the past two weeks

Many of these arrests have been made at night, without a court order, and in conditions where the detainees are deprived of access to a lawyer or contact with their families.

International organizations, including Amnesty International and Human Rights Watch, have warned that Kurdistan is in a state of human rights emergency.

Quick sentences and extrajudicial executions

The Islamic Republic’s judiciary, in parallel with the security forces, has also entered a phase of issuing quick and severe sentences.

In many cases, detainees have been sentenced to death within a short period of time, without a public trial or the presence of a lawyer.

Execution of three Kurdish Kolbars on charges of spying for Israel

In one of the most shocking recent security measures, three Kurdish Kolbars, namely:

Idris Ali

Azad Shojaei

Rasool Ahmad Rasool

were executed in Urmia Prison without a fair trial. The three had been arrested in the border areas of Baneh and Sardasht, and no information was provided before the execution.

Their families were only informed of the incident after the execution, through a call from security forces.

Human rights organizations have assessed this action as extrajudicial killing and a clear violation of human rights and due process.

Wave of arrests in Balochistan – Unawareness of the fate of a child and four young men in Kerman

While media attention has been focused mainly on Kurdistan, Kerman province and the Baloch-populated Jazmurian region have also witnessed a wave of secret and quiet arrests.

Meanwhile, five Baloch citizens, namely:

Shahram Bamri

Daniel Heydarzai

Mehran Bamri

Peyman Bamri

Mohammad Heydarzai (child)

have been arrested by security forces and their fate is unknown. The families of these individuals are also unaware of their whereabouts or condition, and no official institution is accountable.

Possible motives behind the crackdowns: a show of power or fear of rebellion?

Analysts believe that the new wave of repressions pursues the following goals:

Showing authority and compensating for the security failure of the Islamic Republic after the war with Israel

Preventing possible protests in border and minority areas

Settling scores with political, cultural, and media activists who have always been critical of the system

Sending a warning message to other segments of society to prevent any formation of social protest

In many cases, not only have no valid documents or evidence been provided, but the detainees do not even have a judicial or political history.

Summarizing and requesting international action

Given the alarming increase in arbitrary arrests, extrajudicial executions, and official media silence, it can be said that the Islamic Republic is seeking to establish a permanent security situation within the country, especially in minority areas. From the perspective of the leaders of the Islamic Republic, the people of Iran are considered their enemies. This is a big mistake.
