On Saturday evening, June 28, Russia continued its invasion of Ukraine by carrying out extensive airstrikes on various regions of the country, including cities far from the front lines, resulting in several injuries and damage to civilian infrastructure.

Reports indicate that all regions of Ukraine were put on air raid alert on Saturday night, and sirens sounded in various cities and regions, including western regions that are usually far from the fighting. The Ukrainian Air Force had previously warned of the movements of Russian bombers and the flight of attack drones to various parts of the country.

Explosions and missile hits were reported in the cities of Zaporozhye, Lviv, Ivano-Frankivsk and the Cherkasy region. In the Ukrainian capital, Kiev, multiple explosions were also heard throughout the night.

Local officials said the attacks left several injured and damaged civilian infrastructure, including residential buildings and public facilities.
