Truck drivers in Iran are entering a new nationwide strike
Truck drivers in Iran have organized yet another coordinated strike across the country, according to data from FFFI.



The nationwide strike has lasted for almost a week and continues in over 100 Iranian cities and 31 provinces. Drivers protest against undeclared working conditions, deterioration of living conditions, poor wages and state corruption. They have taken social media to pay attention to the strike and fulfill their demands.

Images and videos from the nationwide strike published on social media also include a direct call to the people and other workers to join the protests.

The strike puts a stop on freight, freight and fuel deliveries in several cities. Several of the country's important terminals have been closed as a result of the protests.

The authorities try to break down the strike without success by allowing regimental troops to take over transports and giving empty promises of improvements. In recent days, the regime has called its repressive security forces arresting those involved in the strike and threatening them with execution.

At least 70 drivers across the country have been arrested since the strike began on September 23, according to data from FFFI.

This is the second time this year as lorry drivers go out in a nationwide strike. They organized a similar strike across the country in May this year
