Everything should be questioned and discussed without blinkers in Sweden also rest of the world and especially in Europe that has tradition of true freedom of expression. Religion should be known make jokes about and questioned openly. There are those we call democracy and freedom of speech and we have in Sweden and they should be!

The pictures on the French policeman who brutally executed on the open street in central Paris have been shown around all over the world. The French terrorhotsnivån has been raised to the highest level and one has posted to troops around the capital. In Sweden, followed events closely by SAPO. Here, however terrorhotsnivån remain at an elevated level, according SAPO's press secretary Frederick Milder. Some further action has not yet been taken.

Sweden is not safe

It's not the first time that satire and cartoons culminates in violence. In late 2010, for example, was arrested five people in Denmark and Sweden suspected of conspiring to commit a terrorist offense against the Danish newspaper Jyllands Posten. The following year, was arrested four men in Gothenburg, this time on suspicion of conspiring to murder the artist Lars Vilks, known for its satire cartoons on, among other things, the Prophet Muhammad.

- Individuals who have been down and fought for IS is the great challenge, says Lars Nicander, director of the Center for Asymmetric Threat Studies at the Swedish National Defence College in Stockholm.

He argues that a similar terrorist attack in Sweden certainly can not be ruled out, and that it is dangerous to believe that we would be spared against everything that happens in our world. On the contrary, he believes that society must be prepared for such an attack even at home.


- One should not sit and think that we are protected, because we most certainly do not. Deed as this makes it necessary to raise the garden. It is worrying, he tells News Today.
