Turkish security police arrested an Iranian political refugee on International Human Rights Day.
In the first minutes of December 10th and International Human Rights Day, Ankara State Security police raided to the Peyman Aref’s home who is an Iranian Political refugee and close to the reformists in Iran.
They remained couple hours behind of this political activist home’s door without showing any judicial warrants and demanded to open the door and abandon him.
In the meantime, her wife, Samira Jamshidi, released a live video event for people around the world through the Facebook. Therefore, hundreds of people saw the moment that he arrested by the Turkish security police.
Aref’s wife said; police beat and arrested him. In addition, a journalist who is living in Switzerland called The Office of the UN High Commissioner for Refugees emergency in Geneva and reported them. Accordingly, they ensured him that they are pursuing this matter through its office in Turkey.
Payman Aref who was arrested many times in Iran and sentenced to flogging and jail is under protection by UNCHR since a few months ago.
The Political situation in Iran is getting more dangerous for activists and even those who are close to reformists are forcing to leave the country and ask asylum in abroad.
Last night, Iranian followers on Facebook pursued this problem with concern. They are hoping to solve the danger that threatens the political refugee with the help of international institutions.
