Iranian regime destroys mass graves from massacre on political prisoners after three decades, reports amnesty international on Sunday.

"It is three decades since this terrible slaughter took place and it is high time for the authorities to disclose, rather than hide, the truth," said Philip Luther, head of Amnesty's Middle East and North Africa Department, in a press release.

In 1988, systematic 30,000 political prisoners were executed in Iran, following a direct secretary order from the founder Ayatollah Khomeini regime, conducted by a secret commission, which began on 29 July 1988 and lasted for two months, until 27 September.

Majority of the executed were members of the main organization of the People's Mujahedin.

Ahmad Montazeri, son of Ayatolla Montazeri, published a sound file from his father last year, revealing new details and information about 1988 massacre of tens of thousands of political prisoners in the prisons of the regime around the country.

United Associations for a Free Iran,, therefore require efforts from the government and the UD, and the government to do everything in its power to put the perpetrators of this massacre into court in an international court.
