A new substrain of Omicron known as Centaurus or BA.2.75 was first discovered in India.

According to "Volt" newspaper website, now this substrain has entered Germany and other countries as well. However, it is still too early to decide how to deal with it and experts continue to monitor the high rate of person-to-person transmission.

In its latest mutations, the contagious and highly variable corona virus left behind a more contagious strain called Omicron, which substrains such as BA.5, which is currently affecting Germany, are the result of its changes.

Specialists are afraid that a new strain of corona will come out that has a very high transmissibility and will escape the barrier of vaccines.

The BA.2.75 Omicron substrain has so far entered 10 countries, including Australia, Germany, Great Britain, the United States and Canada, says Lippi Thakral, an expert at the CSIR Institute of Genetics and Biological Research in New Delhi.

The European Center for Disease Prevention and Control (ECDC) last week added this new variant to the list of strains to be investigated.
