Singer Parastu Ahmadi, along with eight other participants and musicians of the "Caravanserai Concert", have been sentenced to 74 lashes, a two-year curfew, and a two-year ban on artistic activity. 

 

A sentence that must face the united protest of all of us, the people and the opposition political forces, and the Islamic Nakba regime must be forced to revoke it.

In 1403, at the same time as the release of "Caravanserai Concert", Parastu Ahmadi wrote in a message: "I, Parastu; a girl who wants to sing for the people I love. This is a right that I could not ignore."

With her presence without a veil and an emotional and impressive voice, she presented not only an artistic performance, but also an expression of the right to life, the right to choose, and the right of women to be present in the public arena and to sing. A presence that symbolically challenged the oppressive and gender-based apartheid structure of the Islamic Republic.

This concert and the reactions that followed were a manifestation of the clear conflict between society’s desire for individual and artistic freedoms and the ugliness and depravity of the Islamic Republic. A conflict between a people who consider freedom, equality, and human dignity their inalienable right, and a government that, relying on religion, has escalated oppression and discrimination against women and wants to keep society in religious and patriarchal bondage.

This event once again showed that Iranian society, despite all pressures and restrictions, wants a free, humane, and equal life; a society in which art, expression, and the presence of women are a natural and inseparable part of social life. From this perspective, this concert opened a clear picture of the possibilities of a freer and more humane future before society.

While strongly condemning the criminal sentences issued against Parastu Ahmadi and other members of his group, it is necessary for all freedom-loving forces and honorable people to widely protest against these inhuman sentences.

We stand with Parastu Ahmadi and the other artists of the "Caravanserai Concert" and declare that this concert is a valuable artistic act and a manifestation of the fundamental human right to expression, creativity and freedom.

The fight to repeal these medieval sentences is an inseparable part of the fight for freedom of expression, freedom of art and an end to systematic oppression in society; a fight in which all freedom-loving forces must play an active and united role.

در کنار پرستو احمدی و یارانش: برای لغو احکام ضدانسانی

پرستو احمدی، خواننده، به همراه هشت نفر دیگر از دست‌اندرکاران و نوازندگان "کنسرت کاروانسرا" به ۷۴ ضربه شلاق تعزیری، دو سال ممنوع‌الخروجی و دو سال محرومیت از فعالیت هنری محکوم شده‌اند. حکمی که باید با اعتراض متحدانه همه ما مردم و نیروهای سیاسی اپوزیسیون روبرو شود و رژیم نکبت اسلامی مجبور به لغو آن گردد.

پرستو احمدی در سال ۱۴۰۳، هم‌زمان با انتشار "کنسرت کاروانسرا"، در پیامی نوشته بود: "من، پرستو؛ دختری که می‌خواهم برای مردمی که دوستشان دارم بخوانم. این حقی است که نمی‌توانستم از آن چشم بپوشم."

او با حضور بی‌حجاب و با صدایی احساسی و اثرگذار، نه تنها یک اجرای هنری، بلکه بیانی از حق زندگی، حق انتخاب و حق حضور زن در عرصه عمومی و آواز خوانی را به نمایش گذاشت. حضوری که به شکلی نمادین، ساختار آپارتاید جنسیتی و سرکوبگرانه جمهوری اسلامی را به چالش کشید.

این کنسرت و واکنش‌های پس از آن، جلوه‌ای از تقابل آشکار میان خواست جامعه برای آزادی‌های فردی و هنری و پلشتی و نکبت جمهوری اسلامی بود. تقابلی میان مردمی که آزادی، برابری و کرامت انسانی را حق مسلم خود می‌دانند و حکومتی که با تکیه بر مذهب ستم و تبعیض علیه زنان را به اوج رسانده  و می خواهد جامعه را در قیود مذهبی و مردسالانه در اسارات نگه دارد.

این رویداد بار دیگر نشان داد که جامعه ایران، به‌رغم همه فشارها و محدودیت‌ها، خواهان زندگی آزاد، انسانی و برابر است؛ جامعه‌ای که در آن هنر، بیان و حضور زنان بخشی طبیعی و جدایی‌ناپذیر از زندگی اجتماعی است. از این منظر، این کنسرت تصویری روشن از امکان‌های یک آینده آزادتر و انسانی‌تر را در برابر جامعه گشود.

ضمن محکوم کردن شدید احکام کیفری صادره علیه پرستو احمدی و دیگر اعضای گروه همراه او، لازم است که همه نیروهای آزادی‌خواه و مردم شریف به‌طور گسترده علیه این احکام ضدانسانی اعتراض کنند.

ما در کنار پرستو احمدی و سایر هنرمندان "کنسرت کاروانسرا" ایستاده‌ایم و اعلام می داریم که این کنسزت یک کنش هنری ارزشمند و جلوه‌ای از حق بنیادین انسان در بیان، خلاقیت و آزادی است.
مبارزه برای لغو این احکام قرون‌وسطایی، بخشی جدایی‌ناپذیر از مبارزه برای آزادی بیان، آزادی هنر و پایان دادن به سرکوب سیستماتیک در جامعه است؛ مبارزه‌ای که همه نیروهای آزادی‌خواه باید در آن نقش فعال و متحدانه ایفا کنند.
