Iraqi Journalists Beaten in Central Baghdad

BAGHDAD — Iraq’s Journalistic Freedoms Observatory (JFO) has condemned the attack on a female journalist in central Baghdad last Thursday, urging the authorities to investigate the incident and protect journalists in the country.

Bushra Sa’edi, an Iraqi journalist from Baghdad, was travelling with her two sons to her office last Thursday when a vehicle blocked their way, beat and insulted them.

The JFO released a statement to condemn the attack and call on the Iraqi interior minister to take immediate action and protect the journalists across the country.
