Mustafa Hijri, Secretary of the Kurdistan Democratic Party of Iran (KDP), told VOA's Maidan program that the Kurds alone cannot overthrow the Islamic Republic of Iran. According to Hijri, Kurdistan's freedom is linked to the freedom of the whole of Iran.

What kind of independent leadership and politicking is this?
It is time for the people and party members to say frankly to the current Democratic leadership: Come to your senses before you suffer the same evil fate and collapse of other parties! If you have any respect for your past and the blood of the martyrs, have the courage to admit your failures and return to the path of Qasemloo and no longer sell the Kurdish movement cheaply.
