ISIS attack Kakai Kurds in Kirkuk

ISIS attack Kakai Kurds in Kirkuk.

Human enemy gangs affiliated to the jihadist Islamic State of Iraq and al-Sham (ISIS) have attacked the Dakuk district, which is mainly inhabited by Kakai Kurds, in southeast of Kirkuk city of South Kurdistan on Tuesday.

Fierce clashes are taking place between Kurdistan Defence Forces, which involves all Kurdish fighting forces, and ISIS gangs since Tuesday afternoon when the attack took place. A number of gang members have been reported killed in clashes.
On the other hand, ISIS gangs are continuing to destroy sacred spaces in the town of Jalawla, of Xaneqin city, they occupied on 11 August.
Warplanes are continuing the aerial bombardment on ISIS positions in the town where gangs are said to be announcing people not to leave the area.
People in the town have reportedly started migrate to Xaneqin and Kellar to avoid the risk of massacre by ISIS gangs that have already appointed their members to the positions left empty by members of many commission that have also left the city.
Kakai Kurds, a heterodox community, are mainly living in 30-40 villages near Kirkuk and Xaneqin, also residing in some areas near Telafer and Mosul. Kakai Kurds, just like Shabak, Feyli, Yezidi Kurds, have long been suffering attacks and discriminative policies.
South Kurdistan territory has been facing unprecedented attacks by ISIS gangs since early August when the human enemy ISIS gangs started a new wave of attacks on South Kurdistan after two years of continuous attacks on Rojava, and the revolution of the people of West Kurdistan.
Gangs attacked peshmerga forces in Zumar area in Mosul region on 2 August. This was followed by another wave of attacks targeting Rabia and Sinjar.
Hundreds of thousands of people have been forced to migrate after gangs occupied Sinjar on 3 August. Going on to take over Iraq's largest Christian town Qaraqosh on 7 August, ISIS gangs forced tens of Christians to migrate from their lands.
The attacks of the jihadist gangs was responded by YPG (People's Defense Units) that advanced rapidly to assist those stranded on Mount Sinjar through Til Koçer and Rabia. On 4 and 5 August the HPG and YJA Star also sent units.
On 6 August the gangs attacked the town of Maxmur (Makhmour) 40 km to the south of Hewler (Erbil). The guerrilla forces evacuated between 12 and 15 thousand residents of the Maxmur refugee camp while a militia force was set up. A day later HPG and YJA Star forces reached Maxmur from the mountains of Kurdistan and a joint defence force of militia, guerrillas and peshmerga was established.
The Maxmur area has strategic importance as regards the defence of Hewler. On 8 August further guerrilla reinforcements were despatched to Maxmur.
In response to the threat of massacre posed by the self-styled Islamic State gangs, guerrilla units were sent to Kirkuk on 9 August. Kirkuk passed into the total control of Kurdish forces 2 days after ISIS gangs took Mosul on 10 June.
While the gangs were repulsed in many areas, gangs took the flashpoint Kurdish town of Jalawla following a wave of attacks on 11 August.
