250 tonnes of aid from Heyva Sor to Sinjar.

The Heyva Sor a Kurdistan (Red Crescent of Kurdistan), based in Germany, has given the people of Sinjar a helping hand.
Heyva Sor a Kurdistan has sent 250 tonnes of sugar, rice, tea, water thermos, clothes for men and women, basic necessary requirements for woman and children, amounting to 152 thousands in Euros aid to the people from Sinjar in the Newroz camp in Rojava (West Kurdistan).
On 3 August, SIS gangs launched an attack on the Yezidi people. It is thought that thousands of Yezidi Kurds were killed in these attacks, and thousands of people, the overwhelming majority of whom were women and children were abducted by the ISIS gangs. Hundreds of thousands of people had to leave their homeland.

First step for emergency aid campaign
Against these cruel attacks by ISIS gangs, Heyva Sor a Kurdistan initiated an emergency aid campaign with the associations of Die Sonne Mesopotamiens "Roja Mezopotamya, and organisations in Germany, France, Sweden, Denmark, Norway, Switzerland, Netherlands, Austria and Belgium.
Within the scope of the campaign, as the first step, Heyva Sor a Kurdistan sent material worth 152 thousand Euros to the Newroz camp which was set up for the Yezidi people in the town of Derik in Rojava. The executives of Heyva Sor a Kurdistan stated that they were in contact with the executives of the Newroz Camp and that they are being regularly informed about the emergency needs of the refugees and that they are organising the aid materials according to their requirements.
Stating that at the first stage, they sent 250 tonnes of material consisting of sugar, rice, tea, water thermos, clothes and basic necessities for woman and children to Rojava, the executives emphasized that the aid will be distributed to the people in Newroz Camp via the executives of Heyva Sor a Kurdistan.
Issuing a statement, the executives of Heyva Sor a Kurdistan said that: “as an institution of humanitarian aid, we believe that protecting the people from Sinjar who have been attacked by the ISIS gangs is an ethical and humanitarian obligation. We will mobilize our whole power in order to meet the requirements of the displaced people just as we had mobilised for the requirements of Van, Kobanê and many other places in Kurdistan.
Now, we will help the Yezidi people who moved to North Kurdistan.
The executives of Heyva Sor stated that they will also send aid to the camps in which Yezidi people are being accommodated in North Kurdistan. İI warmly appreciated the institutions and people in Europe and in Scandinavia, especially in Germany and said that we expect our people to continue to help the Yezidi Kurds.
