 After holding several meetings with the local tribal leaders and our leaders we decided to attack and capture Kerkûk entirely from Peshmerga. It was decided to launch the attack from Mala Abdulla because the road was short thus seemed easier for us, which leads to strategic areas of Kerkûk city from their we wanted to advance and control Erbil - Kerkûk highway. When we started our attacks, we were yelling Allah u Akbar so that Peshmerga forces would get scared and wont fight us, because that is what we did to the IA and they all fled into thin air, but when we were approaching Peshmerga positions and saying our Takbir (Allahu Akbar) they quickly spread out into their defense positions, we did not start firing because were got used to the running of the IA so we thought we dont need to waste bullets untill we reach the position it was appointed for us, but as we got closer the Peshmerga started firing at us with their APC, RPG, BKC and their AK47s immediately 3 of our fighters got killed, but we didnt care and we didnt withdraw as we have never withdrawn from any launch attacks on IA, as we were getting closer and closer bullets and rockets were coming at us from each and every direction. The situation got so bad we all lost each other and run for shelter and got isolated from one other, to a point we didnt know our way back anymore to retreat, after days of their constant bombardments on us in the end we just gave up and hid our weapons, we came out wearing civilian cloths and wanted to pretend to be local civilians, but Peshmerga forces knew who we were and arrested us".
