Kurdish Islamic radical terrorist  Mullah Krekar seeks to go back to  Kurdistan.
ERBIL-Hewlêr, Kurdistan region 'Iraq',— Iraqi Kurdish extremist leader Mullah Krekar who is serving a prison sentence in Norway is about to set free.

As his prison days are about to over (just 40 days left) his family holding talks with Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP) seniors in order to bring him back to Kurdistan after his release, said a senior member of Islamic movement, Millet website reported. 

Mulla Krekar (58), with real name Fateh Najmeddin Faraj, founded the Ansar al-Islam organization in 2001, as a merger of Jund al-Islam (Soldiers of Islam), and a splinter group from Islamic Movement of Kurdistan (IMK). 

Ansar al-Islam group listed as a terrorist organization by the U.S. and Iraqi Kurdistan government. The group is also suspected in suicide bombings of coalition forces in Iraqi Kurdistan, Krekar in one of the most wanted in Iraqi Kurdistan region on charges of terrorist attacks in the Kurdish region. 

Khalid Ranjdar, Krekar’s brother told Durbeen, a jihadist site, close to Mullah Krekar that his brother will be released from Norwegian prison soon and he is considering returning to Kurdistan if he will not going to be prosecuted there too. Ranjdar didn’t deny that Krekar’s return to Kurdistan will not be easy as he is not welcomed by many political parties.

Ranjdar also mentioned that Krekar’s case is matter to USA, Kurdistan region government, Iraq, Iran and Turkey which makes his moving complicated.

Faruq Ali, a senior member of Islamic group (Komale Islami) told independent Hawlati newspaper that KDP is trying to bring Krekar backwww.Ekurd.net to Kurdistan following his release from prison and talks are going on between Krekar’s family and KDP official for this matter. Mr Ali didn’t expect Krekar to create problems for the other Islamic parties.

In this regard, Mr Latif Shaikh Omer, senior PUK official, said that Krekar and anyone else who are wanted by our courts must be brought to justice. He added that it’s not any political party’s authority to forgive him for the crimes that he committed and he confirmed that PUK party’s view is to serve justice on every one.

Meanwhile Kamil Mohamad, senior Islamic Movement member said that Krekar’s brother Khalid Ranjdar have been travelling between Norway and Kurdistan region and he visited KDP officials in Kurdistan to plan for Krekar’s return following his release.

Kamil Mohamad added that Ranjdar refused his Islamic party’s intervention and told him that his family will do the talks with KDP.

On March 26, 2012 Krekar was sentenced to five years in prison in Norway for making online death threats against Norwegian officials and three Kurdish men.
