 YDG-H have been running an almost underground civil war with the ‪#‎Turkish‬ police and military over the last few months, particularly in ‪#‎Cizire‬(Turkish side of the border not ‪#‎Syria‬). Also it's not completely correct that they are directly under PKK command. They listen when PKK asks things of them - usually to put down their guns and stop all hostilities for periods of time - but they usually do things on their own. Apo and the executive committee in PKK have warned that should fighting renew or the peace process crumble, then the YDG-H would be very hard to control. These are youth who have grown up in the turbulent times of constant war and martial order. They've radicalised through living and experiencing a life of war.
