Shafaq News: Witnesses said on Friday that troops had arrived in the disputed province of Kirkuk between Arbil and Baghdad.

Witnesses told Ashqaf News that "a large US military force, after its forces and arrived in Kirkuk and stationed at the base (K1) military."

Peshmerga forces and security forces withdrew from Kirkuk on October 16, 2017 following a military campaign by Iraqi forces backed by the popular crowd that managed to impose control over the disputed areas between Arbil and Baghdad.

The federal government then launched the military campaign as a reaction to the referendum held by the Kurdistan region, which supported 93 of the voters for independence from Iraq.
