A drone strike on a coalition base in Iraq

  Col. Wayne Maruto, a spokesman for the US-led coalition, said on Saturday that a drone targeted the Ain al-Assad air base in western Iraq, which hosts US and other international forces, but no one was injured.

  He added: "The attack is under investigation, but initial reports indicate that the attack caused damage to the aircraft hangar.

  The United States has accused Iranian-backed militant groups of launching regular missile strikes against its forces in Iraq, Reuters reported.
