Bennett after meeting with Putin: We have a moral duty to reduce tensions
Israeli Prime Minister Naftali Bennett met for three hours with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Moscow on Saturday (March 6th).
Following the meeting, he said, Israel considers it its "moral duty" to reduce tensions and conflicts, even if the effort is not "very" successful.
The Israeli prime minister has spoken by telephone with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelinsky three times in the past 24 hours. Earlier, Zelensky had called on the Israeli leadership to mediate talks with the Kremlin.
"Although there is not much chance, it is our moral obligation to use every little window to reach out to all parties," Bennett was quoted as saying by AFP.
