Illegal" transfer of Amir Salar Davoodi to Rajai Shahr Prison

Tanaz Kolahchian, the wife of Amirsalar Davoodi, a human rights activist and lawyer, announced on Twitter that her husband had been transferred to Rajai Shahr Prison, and that no reason or explanation had been provided by Evin Prison officials.

Mustafa Nili, a lawyer, also took to Twitter to denounce the case as a flaw in Article 513 of the Code of Criminal Procedure.

According to Note 3 of Article 513 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, "If the place of residence of a person sentenced to imprisonment is outside the jurisdiction of the court issuing the sentence, the said person shall be transferred to the prison of his place of residence to continue the imprisonment; Unless this causes corruption, in which case, at the discretion of the judge issuing the final verdict, he will be transferred to the nearest prison to his place of residence. "The transfer fee is paid from the credit of the judiciary.
