HPG-YBŞ respond to attacks of ISIS gangs in Sinjar

ISIS gangs who attempted to attack the HPG (People’s Defence Forces) and YBŞ (Sinjar Resistance Units) near the village of Cizile to the west of Sinjar were hit and forced to withdraw.

According to information coming through, the ISIS gangs attempted to attack HPG and YBŞ forces near the village of Cizile to the west of Sinjar.

The HGP and YBŞ forces responded fiercely to the attack, destroying a vehicle and the gang members inside the vehicle and damaged 2 other vehicles. The gangs had to retreat.

Meanwhile, heavy clashes broke out between the resistance defending Sinjar and ISIS gangs in the village of Heyalê on 20 August. The HPG and Sinjar Resistance units destroyed a vehicle and killed many gang members and the gangs had to flee from the village. The village has been totally liberated.
