Plasco, a 53 year old building in center of Tehran, has collapsed after hours of consumed in fire.
Plasco home which was several floors completely destroyed yesterday and fire down, but many feel that the regime itself is behind the event.

At least 75 people, including 40 firefighters, are dead after the Plasco Tower block came tumbling down in Tehran after a massive fire. The Tower was built by Jewish businessman Habib Elghanian. His execution by the Khomeini regime in 1980 caused a mass exodus of Jews from Iran. The population rapidly went from 100,000 to less than 20,000. The Globe and Mail reports: (with thanks Heather and Sylvia)
The Plasco building was an iconic presence on Tehran’s skyline, one of the first to rise against the backdrop of the snowcapped Mount Damavand. Opened in 1962, it was the first privately owned tower to be built during the era of the U.S.-backed shah, when oil money fueled the capital’s rapid development.
The tower, the tallest in Tehran at the time and just north of the sprawling Grand Bazaar, got its name from the plastics manufacturing company owned by its builder, Iranian Jewish businessman Habib Elghanian.

After the 1979 Islamic Revolution that overthrew the shah, Iran’s new clerical rulers had Elghanian tried on charges that included spying for Israel. He was executed by firing squad — an outcome that prompted many of the remaining members of the country’s longstanding Jewish community to flee.

The state-controlled Islamic Revolution Mostazafan Foundation took ownership of the building. The foundation, which has ties to the powerful paramilitary Revolutionary Guard, made no immediate statement about the collapse.
The fire was the worst in Tehran since a 2005 blaze at a historic mosque killed 59 worshippers and injured nearly 200 others.

Iran: Tehran's Iconic High-Rise (Plasco Building) Collapsed Due to Fire This morning (19 January 2017) in Tehran Plasco commercial building collapsed due to fire. Iran regime stated: the firefighters were inside the utterly collapsed building, it is reported that at least thirty fire fighters are dead. The fate of many people and firefighters in the building is still unknown. Hospitals are on alert around the area and army has entered the scene. Taking Photos and videos with mobile is prohibited by regime under the pretext of stopping people from getting injured. The Iranian Resistance's President-elect Maryam Rajavi expressed her sorrow and regrets over the catastrophic blaze which burned Tehran's Plasco Building, killing a large number of people and firefighters. Mrs. Rajavi extended her condolences to the people of Tehran and particularly the families of the victims on this tragic loss and urged Tehran's residents to rush to the aid of the injured and families of the victims. She blamed the ruling regime and specifically the mullahs' supreme leader Ali Khamenei for the harrowing deaths of all the people who got stuck today under the rubbles. She drew attention to the fact that Khamenei and his criminal regime have given absolute priority to the repressive apparatus at home and allocated exorbitant sums to export of terrorism and war to the Middle East, particularly to Syria, while Iranian cities are deeply vulnerable to such incidents and the urban aid services are powerless and held in primitive state. The December deadly train accident and fire in Semnan, the collapse of the Plasco Building in Tehran, and many other similar preventable incidents demonstrate the chaotic state and excessive retardation of Iran's infrastructural and technical organizations and services, a situation that the clerical regime has imposed on the country, she said. May Iran become free and prosperous with the collapse of the pillars of the mullahs' corrupt and criminal regime!
