Just returned from the Jerusalem Exhibition in Malmö. The friendship federation Sweden-Israel stood for the invitation but the actual Jerusalem exhibition was created in collaboration between Simon Wiesenthal Center and UNESCO (!).

One of the speakers was Rabbi Moshe David HaCohen, Malmö, Co-Director, Amanah, The Muslim and Jewish Trust and Faith Project. As you may recognize from southern Sweden - then he has inter-religious cooperation with Salahuddin Barakat from the Islamic Academy. Unfortunately, I did not see Barakat, nor did anyone see anyone from the Muslim community in Malmö.

Have long wondered how rabbi HaCohen can work with a radical Muslim leader like Barakat. I have been thinking about what the motives can be, and I have thought about how they might think that this work should bear fruit. I hope that Barakat - from Lebanon - educated in Yemen - can one day set foot on such an event, and show its possible support to the state of Israel and show an open distance from Islamist anti-Semitism.

Well, the pollet rolled down when I heard his speech. He has the same moral philosophy that the state of Israel has, ie not demonizing anti-Semites, Islamists, and enemies of the Jewish people and or the state of Israel, and the reason for that is what you understand when you hear his speech.
Philosophy and morale are amazingly admirable! I myself advocate zero tolerance, and far from this high moral. I got many thinkers!
