Leila Hosseinzadeh, a student at Tehran University, was arrested

Leyla Hosseinzadeh, a graduate student in the field of anthropology, was arrested at her home on Sunday, August 9, and transferred to Evin Prison.


2019   June  24   , Monday The Court of Appeal sentenced Leila Hosseinzadeh, a student at the University of Tehran and the secretary of the Students' Central Trade Union, to death and was sentenced to three years and six months imprisonment and two years of banning from leaving the country.

The student activist was charged with "propaganda against the system", "acting against national security" and "disturbing public order and order by participating in illegal gatherings."
