Teachers protest in several Iranian cities.
Thousands of teachers in Iran protested against the Iranian regime and its Ministry of Education over the past week.
The protests were conducted on Sunday and Monday the fourth and fifth of August in the cities of Tehran, Ahwaz, Esfehan, Kermanshah and Tabriz. The teachers objected to the hiring of teachers on temporary contracts.
They called for better job protection and for the regime's Ministry of Education to convert temporary contracts into permanent employment. Many teachers in Iran lack adequate employment protection and have low wages because the regime hires them on temporary contracts.
The teachers scanned "we will remain until our rights are guaranteed" and had plaques with texts urging others to join their protests.
