Yaser Rahmanirad, a general practitioner, Behnam Ohadi, a psychiatrist, and Homayoun Iftikharian Nia, an operating room technician, who had gone to Mahabad from Tehran and Khorramabad, were arrested by the agents of the intelligence department in this city and taken to an unknown place.

These citizens left for Mahabad from Tehran and Khorramabad on Wednesday, November 30, 2022 and were arrested by the agents of the Intelligence Department in this city on December 13.

As of the moment of writing this report, there is no information about the reasons for the arrest of these citizens.

Dr. Yaser Rahmani was previously fired from his job on Thursday, July 30, 2020, for supporting the strike of Haft Tepe workers under the pressure of the security forces.

Dr. Rahmani is one of the former student activists who has faced repressive actions by the security forces many times due to their activities.
