REPORTED: IRANIAN REGIME BACKING ISIS TO FURTHER DESTABILIZE SYRIA A trusted source from within Iran claims the IRGC, with assistance from Iraq’s Popular Mobilization Forces, is working to arm ISIS elements inside Syria.

According to the source, the objective is to destabilize the Syrian state and weaken the position of Muhammad al-Sharaa, as Tehran seeks to reassert influence following the fall of Bashar al-Assad. If accurate, this would point to a tactical convergence where Iran-backed actors are willing to empower ISIS to prolong chaos and block stabilization in Syria. From now until the end of this year, if ISIS does not assassinate al-Julani, or if Israel does not, al-Julani has only three options:

1. Pledge allegiance to ISIS.
