A number of Ahmed al-Shara's colleagues have also been killed and several others are injured and are in a Damascus hospital. There is currently an armed conflict in Damascus, and the conflict is so intense that electricity and all communication lines in Syria have been cut off.

We await confirmation. An assassination attempt against Ahmed al-Sharaa has failed. His deputy was killed, and several of his relatives are hospitalized. Ahmed al-Sharaa himself was also injured.

Reports indicate that two planes have just taken off from Mezzeh Airport in Damascus, heading towards Turkey. Electricity and internet have been completely cut off in Damascus.
