Female Athlete burnt to death.

In a statement to (Warvin), a source from (Raparin) police station in Slemani said: “a female athlete who got married two month ago and she studies at the 4th stage of physical education school at University of Slemani died with burns on her body in Raparin apartments”.

The burn accident of (Srwa Farhad) who was born in 1988 happened on (June 4, 2013) and according to the information police obtained, the accident was self-immolation and she has burnt to death.

The cause of her death is not clear yet, some sources claim that the reason was an electrical short, but the source from police talked to Warvin and confirmed that it was a suicide act.

In this context, the source stated that social problems made (Srwa Farhad) to commit suicide.

Kirkuk: woman dies after setting herself ablaze

In a statement to (Warvin), an official from (Adala) police station said: “the woman’s name is (Mariam Ali) and she was 22 years old, she has poured kerosene over her body and set herself ablaze, the cause of the incident is still unknown.

“Her family did not immediately inform police, after transferring her to the hospital; police could not interrogate her due to the high percentage of burns on her body” the source added.

The source also stated that they have opened a case for the incident and nobody has been arrested so far, after (Mariam)’s funeral police will call her family for interrogation.
