A year after attacks, this is what Turkish occupation did against Afrin monuments
The Turkish occupation and its mercenaries destroyed Afrin's civilization through the attacks they launched on January 20th last year, destroying UNESCO-listed monuments, but this was met with international silence.

The 20th of this month marks the first anniversary of the start of the Turkish attacks on Afrin canton. The occupation destroyed the villages of Afrin and forced the inhabitants to get out of their homes. In addition, the Turkish war machine destroyed the monuments and civilization of Afrin.

The Turkish aircrafts destroyed the historical hill of Andarah that dates back to 10,000 years ago according to references, and it was built on the Mitani style.

The Turkish aircrafts also destroyed the Rumi theater, located at the ancient site of Nabi Hori in Shera district after being hit by mortars. These signs witness the passage of ages on the land of Afrin.

In addition, the occupation destroyed the monuments of Ali Beska village in Rajo district and the temple of Kalutah village where Mar Maroun, the most famous Syriac figure in Syria, lived in the second century AD.

A year after the start of the attacks on Afrin, the depicted photos and videos show what the Turkish occupation did against the monuments and civilization of Afrin.
