Report: IS is growing in Syria and Iraq
At the same time as information about new attacks from IS has come, a report has been released showing how the terrorist sector is growing again throughout Syria and Iraq.
This just over a month after IS's last stronghold in Baghuz in northeastern Syria failed.
The report comes from the Washington DC-based think tank Institute for the Study of War, and is quoted in the New York Post.
"IS is expanding its support zones and stepping up its attack campaign in key cities such as Raqqa, Mosul and Fallujah as well as in more remote areas of northern Syria and Iraqi Krudistan," it says.
The IS self-proclaimed caliphate has been crushed but terrorists are still hiding among the mountains and in the desert in both Syria and Iraq, AFP writes. The terrorist sect has taken on the attacks where 27 people are now said to have died.
