"This action sends a clear message to Tehran that its support for terrorism has serious implications," reports Aftonbladet, referring to a statement by President Trump.

FFFI has on several occasions called on the EU and Sweden to stamp out the Revolutionary Guard in its entirety because the paramilitary force is behind the domestic repression and the regime's exports of terrorism.

Iranian regime foreign minister Javad Zarif urged the regime's president, Hassan Rouhani, to place US forces in the region on Tehran's list of terrorist groups, Iran's regime's foreign ministry said. The Tehran regime is expected to take this decision in response to the US decision.

The Iranian National Resistance Council (NCRI) welcomed the US blacklist of the Revolutionary Guard in a statement on Monday. The Iranian opposition coalition pointed out that the decision is an important step in securing peace and stability in the region.

NCRI urged the United States and the international community to adopt a similar decision and terrorist regime's Ministry of Intelligence (MOIS), which is responsible for domestic repression and terrorist operations against Iranian dissidents in Europe.
